About The Role

We are seeking a talented and creative Grafikdesigner/in (m/w/d) in part-time employment (20 hours per week) to join our team at Neunkircher Kulturgesellschaft gGmbH. This role is initially fixed-term for two years, starting from January 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and revising a variety of print and digital materials that promote our cultural programs and events. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the visual identity of our organization and engaging our community through compelling visual communication. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for aesthetics, proficiency in graphic design software, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a completed vocational training or an equivalent qualification in graphic design, media design, communication design, or a related field. A strong aesthetic sense and enthusiasm for creating print and digital media are essential, along with a good understanding of typography and imagery. Candidates must have experience in producing print-ready and web-optimized graphics, demonstrating proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. A minimum of two years of professional experience in graphic design is required. Excellent written communication skills and familiarity with content management systems like WordPress are also important. Additionally, candidates should possess strong organizational skills, creativity, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and revise our biannual course catalog for VHS, as well as promotional materials for the music school, crime festival, and other events, ensuring adherence to our brand guidelines.
• Create various print advertising materials including flyers, posters, brochures, roll-ups, construction fence banners, and advertisements.
• Develop graphics, banners, social media posts, and mock-ups for online platforms and websites to enhance digital presence.
• Perform image editing tasks such as background removal and color correction using Photoshop.
• Maintain and optimize our websites within CMS platforms like WordPress, ensuring content is current and visually appealing.
• Coordinate with external agencies and printing companies to ensure quality and timely delivery of printed materials.
