About the role

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to own the entire UX of our PvE auto-battler roguelike, Guildrun. You’ll set the UX strategy and build our cross-platform UX system from the ground up. It’s a big responsibility with a lot of freedom: you’ll work independently and shape how players experience the game. This is primarily a hands‑on design role, covering everything from research and flows to final layouts.

About Leyline

Leyline is an independent studio building a deep PvE auto-battler roguelike. Our team has shipped games like Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra. We released the Guildrun demo in July 2026 and it has since reached over 500,000 players. You’ll work directly with a small, experienced team that moves fast and cares deeply about its craft.

What you’ll do

• Define and own the UX strategy across platforms
• Build a scalable UX system, from wireframes and user flows to polished Figma layouts
• Write the specs and documentation our UI designers and developers build from
• Monitor player feedback, run playtests and feed the results into our weekly patches

What we’re looking for

• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to work independently
• A strong eye for clarity and simplicity, and the craft to turn that into beautiful layouts
• Shipped titles or comparable production experience
• Unity and implementation awareness
• Deep understanding of roguelikes or strategy games
• Ideally a portfolio with case studies showing your process
